While Jared does not offer traditional "lessons", he regularly works with owners and enthusiasts in both one-on-one and group settings. Whether your horse is having trouble with fear, anxiety, or otherwise, a behavior consult focuses on identifying contributing factors and creating practical solutions for both you and your horse going forward.

Group Session
Group settings are essentially small private clinics and are best suited for those who share specific challenges or interests in a particular area.

Group lessons can be organized in a variety of ways—from a traditional group format, where participants work with Jared through a series of exercises together, to an individualized schedule with one-on-one sessions back-to-back.

Available for 3–6 participants, depending on format and focus area.
FAQs
Jared's response to this question will always be the same: "it is up to the horse". Recognizing that they don't wear watches or manage schedules like we do, he prioritizes effective change and productivity over time spent. That said, an average session is roughly 1.5 hours (including conversation with the owner).
Ideally, yes, but this will depend on your level of comfort and ability, as well as the horse's needs. Jared will first assess the horse and from there have an open discussion with you as to what makes most sense, ensuring you are best-suited to learn and put things into practice safely.
Jared will always come prepared with his own rope halters, flag, and tack. That said, he is firmly committed to putting the horse first, including if and when that means using your equipment (saddle, bridle, etc) should it fit better.
Behavior Evaluation
Jared will first have a conversation with you to get a sense of where things are at, what trouble you may be having, and what your overall goals are.
From there, he will start with groundwork to evaluate your horse and identify any gaps in ability or understanding. Explaining what he is doing and why, he will keep you involved each step of the way and gladly answer any questions you may have.
In the end, he will leave you with next steps and/or exercises to improve your communication and address (or avoid) unwanted behaviors going forward.
